Using a juice machine is a very popular healthy option these days. It seems that everyone is "juicing", which simply means making natural beverages (such as the ever popular smoothies) from vegetables and fruits, or just about anything edible and raw. It seems that all the talk about the great health benefits of enzymes have made people want to indulge in more natural fruits and vegetables. Wondering why? Enzymes are great for cell regeneration, and about ninety-nine percent of the cooked foods we eat ultimately contain no enzymes. After all, enzymes do not survive when vegetables are cooked. Thus, most of the foods we eat aren't completely nutritious because of the lack of enzymes. Though the human body produces its own enzymes through the salivary glands, this isn't adequate enough to keep our body immunity strong against the myriad of health diseases out there - from the common flu to cancer.

Thus, juice machines can be found in just about every store, even online ones. They're also offered on TV shopping cable channels, as well as late night infomercials, and they come in all shapes, styles and designs. It seems that every manufacturer of juice machines claim that their product is the best. Though there are indeed reputable and well known brands, there may not in fact be a brand that can be identified as the very best. Every product has its good points and essentially, the best could be considered the one which is able to get the most juice out of the fruits and veggies. Most of these juicing gadgets however manage to satisfy anyone who simply wants a real juice or vegetables smoothie to enjoy.

If one isn't too particular, a simple centrifugal juice machine would do. This goes well with most fruits, because it spins to juice the fruit efficiently. If all one wants is to get the best natural juice, these types of juicer machines should be adequate enough. The problem however with a centrifugal juicer is that it may be difficult to juice some vegetables, like most of the leafy ones. Neither does it work so well with healthy edible grasses like wheat grass or flax seed. However, if you simply want a good tomato and carrot smoothie spiced with a bit of kosher salt and pepper, than a centrifugal juicer will work just fine.

There is also the mastication type of juice machine. This is extremely similar to a food processor, and it may cost a bit more than the centrifugal type; however this type of juicing machine is great if one is intending to juice a wide variety of vegetables. For instance, a mastication juicer can completely juice wheat grass, beans, zucchini, almost all green and leafy vegetables, and even some types of meat if you are not vegan and if you happen to believe in the "raw food" diet. It covers almost all fruits too, including all types of berries and their seeds. This type also makes a great kitchen gadget if you happen to be running a elder's home, or if you believe that eating barks and seeds can add more years to your life.

A juice machine is an excellent gadget for anyone who is on a diet. Even the Atkins diet, which is particularly low carb, has recommended drinking juiced tofu with berries to get the best nutrition, ample protein, plus the great feeling of not being on a diet because one does not feel deprived. Juice machines also help to create great natural desserts and delicious mashed meals. Most of all, owning a juicer means more kitchen fun!
